With Black Friday and Cyber Monday behind us and Hanukkah underway, we all know that Christmas is just around the corner. Now is the perfect time to begin targeting those last minute shoppers looking to spend and searching for last minute bargains. So, what’s the best way to get the attention of these shoppers? Here are a few suggestions that will not only make your ad stand out, but bring consumers to your site ready to spend!
- Coupons – Consumers love to get their hands on coupons that work on your website. These coupons can offer any of the following: percentage discounts, free shipping or a dollar amount off purchase. According to a recent survey on holiday shopping, 50% of those surveyed will wait for a sale before making a purchase, compared to just 33% in 2006.*
- Guaranteed Delivery – Last-minute shoppers are not exclusively looking for discounts, they may also be looking for a guarantee that the gift that they procrastinated in buying arrives in time for Christmas. 26% of online shopper say that they will pay for expedited delivery**
- Day After Sales – Some of the most money is spent comes one day after Christmas, people are exchanging gifts they don’t want for something they do, many have extra cash or gift cards they are eager to spend – so make your offers attractive to these consumers.
Hopefully these tips will prove helpful when looking for opportunities to take advantage of the final holiday shopping surge and to help your customers buy what they and their loved ones truly want for the holidays!
